Homemade Beef Pot Pie

We woke up to 53 degree cold temps and my beef pot pie internal alarm went off. Sudden dips in temp have a nasty habit of setting it off.

Making the dough is the fun part. Trying to keep my little chef from running off with it is a constant battle. She thinks it is playdoh.


Carrots and peas at the bottom.


Browned meat in vegetable oil. Flour stirred into  meat and oil to make gravy. A little dash of  French onion soup and a bit of sea salt for more flavor.


Tuck it all in… brush butter on the crust….and..put in the oven until crust is golden.

These pot pies were made in a set of  Pyrex/Corning 1-cup bowls. They may look small but one of these bowls makes two meals for me!
